Skier Files Lawsuit Over Aspen Mountain Accident
A Basalt, Colo., man is suing a skier after they collided while descending the Little Nell run on Aspen Mountain last month.
Thomas Waltner filed a lawsuit in Pitkin County District Court on Monday, alleging that Chris Cote violated the Colorado Skier Safety Act because he was allegedly skiing out of control and collided with Waltner.
According to the Aspen Daily News, the lawsuit claims Waltner’s injuries could be permanent, and damages and losses may continue to prevent him from engaging in his usual activities, hobbies and occupations.
