$1M Damage in Vegas Medical Office Building Fire
A county official says damage is estimated at $1 million in a fire that damaged several medical offices at a building near Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas. County spokeswoman Stacey Welling says the cause of the two-alarm blaze a little after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday is being investigated.
No injuries are reported.
Welling says employees smelled smoke as they arrived for work, and everyone got out of the building before firefighters were called.
Welling says about 50 firefighters battled flames that were through the roof at the building on Maryland Parkway, south of Vegas Valley Drive.
She says businesses including Southern Nevada Medical Group, Quest Diagnostics Inc., West Coast Imaging and Sunrise Pediatrics are affected.
