Monthly Burglaries Hit 10-Year Low in Santa Fe
Santa Fe, N.M., police say the number of property crimes in April is a 10-year low for a single month in Santa Fe.
Authorities in the northern New Mexico city began keeping monthly totals for burglaries in 2003. Police Chief Raymond Rael says the 88 reported burglaries in April are the lowest since.
Officers took reports for 41 residential, 36 automotive, eight commercial and one attempted burglary last month. Police also recorded two unlawful entries.
The figures represent nearly half of the property crime reported in April of 2012.
