Seahawks Bet Means Payout for Car Dealer
The co-owner of Jet Chevrolet in Federal Way, Wash., is contacting the insurance company that backed his bet on a Seahawks shutout.
The dealership sponsored a raffle with a dozen $35,000 winners if Seattle shut out New York in Sunday’s game.
Jim Johnson told The News Tribune he didn’t expect the 23-0 victory over the Giants but he’s glad it happened.
Now he’s making the drawing happen. About 20 people who bought cars during the promotion were given 100 entries. Another 12 walk-ins also were allowed to enter.
The dealership expects to give $420,000 to the raffle winners, thanks to the Seahawks’ stingy defense.
