Las Vegas Puppy Shop Arson Hearing Rescheduled
A judge postponed hearing a challenge of criminal arson and other charges filed against a pet shop owner and a co-defendant accused of torching a store where 27 puppies were rescued.
Clark County District Court Judge David Barker on Wednesday also pushed trial back one week, to July 14, for Gloria Eun Hye Lee and Kirk Bills.
Lee and Bills each remain in jail on $310,000 bail.
Their rescheduled May 5 hearing will be on a claim that the 31-count indictment against them is flawed.
Each has pleaded not guilty to felony and misdemeanor arson, conspiracy, burglary and attempted animal cruelty charges that carry the possibility of decades in state prison.
The two are accused of setting the fire early Jan. 27 at Lee’s Prince and Princess pet shop.
