Henderson Police Try to Match Stolen Items With Owners
Police in Henderson, Nev., are trying to find the rightful owners of items recovered following the arrests of two people in a six-month series of vehicle burglaries.
Police spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said Tuesday that 34-year-old Bryan Richee-Wilinski and 28-year-old Jessica Strong are being held at the Henderson Detention Center on multiple burglary and stolen vehicle, property and firearms charges.
Police say most thefts were from unlocked vehicles parked in residential streets and driveways in the Tuscany, Calico Ridge, southeast Henderson, Green Valley and Whitney Ranch areas.
Recovered items include GPS navigation systems, firearms and tools.
Richards says many weren’t reported stolen, making it difficult to find the owners.
She says people can report non-violent crimes through an online reporting system at the website cityofhenderson.com/police.
