Atlantic Specialty Lines Promotes Seth Johnson to Corporate COO

Richmond, VA, 4/18/13 – Atlantic Specialty Lines continues its evolution by promoting one of its founders, Seth Johnson, to a new and key management role.

He has accepted the position of COO at the corporate level. All of ASL’s profit center leaders will report to and be lead by Seth. In this newly created position to the corporate structure, he will work closely with the company owners to direct, evolve and improve the overall functions of the firm. In addition, he will work with all profit center leaders and managers to facilitate growth strategies.

Seth began his career with Markel Insurance Company as an Associate Underwriter learning the trade while working on Health and Fitness insurance. When Atlantic Specialty Lines began their privately owned structure in the fall of 1996, Seth, along with two other core founders, accepted the challenge to be a part of a new company. They embarked on many years of ASL success and history and all three of them continue to be critical leadership for ASL today.

Seth has spent sixteen years with ASL learning all aspects of producing business and leading a successful wholesale insurance firm. Seth was ASL’s most successful producer as well as being a key mentor and manager during his nine years at the Virginia branch. During his tenure as COO of the Florida operation, Seth’s team has shown exemplary business production, continually posting the highest company growth percentages in its history.
