Odachowski Honored With Mark Valentino Memorial Award
Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., a network of quality, independent property damage restoration contractors, announced that Matt Odachowski, president of Royal Plus Renovations in Ocean City, Md., received the 2003 Mark Valentino Memorial Award at DKI’s annual conference held earlier this month.
“I am truly honored to receive this award,” stated Odachowski. “Mark Valentino’s drive and dedication were an example for all DKI members to follow and I feel privileged to be recognized for meeting those standards.”
The award honors the memory of Mark Valentino, founder of M. Valentino’s Restoration & Cleaning. Valentino died in a plane crash in Mississippi on Sept. 8, 2001. The award is given annually to the individual who best exemplifies Valentino’s characteristics: selfless giving of one’s time to help other members; actively participating in the daily life of DKI via service in organizational leadership roles; encouraging prospective members to join DKI; constantly suggesting ways to make DKI better; and unabashed promotion of DKI in the external marketplace.
“Matt Odachowski has devoted his time and talents to making DKI a strong force in his community and beyond,” said Dale Sailer, president of DKI. “His constant efforts to reinforce DKI’s position as The Source for Quality Restoration and his enthusiasm for the company make him a most deserving recipient of this award.”
