New Hampshire State Police Reported 128 Cruiser Accidents in a Year
New Hampshire State Police reported 128 cruiser accidents in the year from mid-2008 to mid-2009, but the cost to state taxpayers is unknown.
The New Hampshire Sunday News says many accidents appeared to be minor. But it’s impossible to determine from the information provided by state police who was at fault, whether anyone was injured and how much the crashes cost.
State Police Col. Robert Quinn tried to put the number in perspective. Quinn says troopers drive nearly 7 million miles a year, often in bad weather.
