8 Arrests in Atlantic City $180,000 Casino Heist
State Police will have more to say about an armed robbery at an Atlantic City, N.J., casino that netted more than $180,000.
They’ve scheduled a news conference on Thursday.
The Press of Atlantic City reports eight people, including a former guard, have been arrested.
State Police say Izyiah Plummer and an accomplice on July 21 brandished a gun and robbed former co-workers of two plastic boxes of cash two weeks after he was fired by Caesars Atlantic City.
Five are charged in the heist and three others are accused of receiving stolen property.
The father of one of the suspects is accused of shooting a Delaware state trooper as officers executed a search warrant. The trooper survived because of his protective vest.
