Allstate Renews U.S. Olympic Sponsorship
Allstate today announced it has extended the company’s sponsorship with the United States Olympic Committee, maintaining Allstate’s designation as the Official Home and Auto Insurance Sponsor for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through 2008. Allstate has also renewed its sponsorship of the U.S. Pan American Team that will compete in the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Northbrook, Ill-based insurer also renewed its sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Revived in 2004, the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame presented by Allstate inducted new members for the first time since 1992. Last year during a nationally televised event in Chicago, Olympians Matt Biondi, Bonnie Blair, Janet Evans, Florence Griffith Joyner, Dan Jansen and Jackie Joyner-Kersee; Paralympian Randy Snow; Veteran Alice Coachman Davis; Special Contributor Bud Greenspan; and the 1996 U.S. Women’s Soccer Team earned their distinguished membership in the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.
Announcement of the finalists and voting procedures for the 2006 Hall of Fame Class is scheduled for August 17.
