State Automobile Elects New Directors
Dwight E. Smith and Roger P. Sugarman were recently elected to the board of directors of State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company of Columbus, Ohio. Smith is CEO of Sophisticated Systems, Inc., a software integration and consulting firm, and Sugarman is an attorney/director of the law firm of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter, both based in Columbus.
Smith spent a number of years with various software/systems companies, including IBM, in Columbus, Detroit and Cleveland, and Cullinet Software, in Columbus, prior to founding Sophisticated Systems in 1990. He earned an undergraduate degree in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from The Ohio State University.
Sugarman earned his B.A. from Vanderbilt University, and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law. Prior to joining Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter in 1986, he was a partner in the law firm of Zatezalo & Sugarman in Columbus. He is a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations.
State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company is a regional property and casualty insurance company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, engaged primarily in writing personal and commercial automobile, homeowners, commercial multi-peril, workers’ compensation and fire insurance.
