Colts Stadium Railing Replaced After Accident
The railing that collapsed at Lucas Oil Stadium last weekend has been replaced, and stadium officials say “every nut and bolt” securing a railing inside the Indiana stadium has been inspected to ensure a safer environment.
Barney Levengood, the executive director of the stadium, said Friday that the investigation into last week’s accident during the Colts-Raiders game is continuing. Witnesses said two fans were injured when a railing they were leaning against gave way. The two fans tumbled onto the hard walkway that leads to the visiting locker room.
One fan was treated and released at the stadium. The other was taken to Methodist Hospital. Levengood said he had no update on the condition of the second fan because of federal privacy laws.
