CSI Expands Liability Coverage for Chemical Industry
Salisbury, Md.-based Consumer Specialties Insurance Co. (CSI), a risk retention group serving chemical manufacturer and distributor members of the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA), announced that it has extended the limits of its commercial general liability coverage from $5 million to $10 million.
This GL coverage has basic policy limits of $1 million for each occurrence, with $1 million aggregate. Umbrella coverage now is offered up to $10 million on an individual basis. Products liability coverage can be written separately and policies are written with a minimum standard deductible of $2,500 for each claim including expense with a $12,500 aggregate. Higher deductibles are available.
“We expanded the limits on our coverage to meet the needs of our insureds who supply products to building supply, super stores and food stores,” said Geraldine (Gerri) Littleton, vice president of Hanna, Kremer & Tilghman (HK&T), which administers CSI.
In addition to its coverages, CSI offers insureds the opportunity to lower their insurance premiums by participating in CSPA’s Product CareSM program, a voluntary code of management practices driven by company self-audits and self-improvement.
