RLI Insurance Company and its Executive Products Group announced the creation of a new business unit to offer Cyber Liability Insurance.
The Cyber Liability Insurance unit will offer protection for exposures arising from adverse cyber events including but not limited to data breaches, data loss, malware attacks, disruption of service and cyber extortion.
RLI’s Executive Products Group provides financial product policies and enhanced liability coverages on both a primary and excess basis. RLI’s Cyber Liability Insurance will be available in the third quarter of 2016.
Representatives from Care Bridge International, Inc. and Medical Settlement Advantage, LLC announced this week that the two companies merged on January 29, 2016 resulting in MSP Compliance Bridge LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Care Bridge International, Inc.
Care Bridge International is a technology based solution for population health, while Medical Settlement Advantage’s expertise lies in its Medicare Secondary Payer and Settlement products for non-group health claim settlements.

NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company, a national medical professional liability insurance company, will begin offering coverage this month to physicians in Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and South Carolina. NORCAL will begin offering coverage in Indiana beginning in March. The five states are the latest in the company’s national expansion, which also introduces a new policy to each market that offers enhanced coverage such as cyber liability.
Healthcare professionals in Oklahoma and Georgia can begin to receive coverage from NORCAL on Feb. 1. Florida and South Carolina physicians will have the choice of NORCAL coverage beginning Feb. 28, and Indiana health care professionals will have the option of NORCAL beginning March 1.
