Louisiana’s FARA Makes Promotions
Mandeville, La.-based FARA announced the promotions of two staff members. Will Scheffler was promoted to the position of branch manager of the American Longshore Mutual Association (ALMA) unit located in Metairie, La. Ellen Goldring was promoted to the position of director of Audits and Education.
Scheffler joined FARA in 1993 as an Adjuster I in the Metairie office. After holding a number of adjuster positions, he was promoted to supervisor in the ALMA office in 2001. Scheffler will have complete operational responsibility for the ALMA unit in his position as branch manager.
“Scheffler has worked with ALMA for several years. We are excited to have someone with his knowledge, experience and energy level to run this very important branch of our company,” said Dan Clark, senior VP.
Director of Audits and Education is a new corporate office position. In it, Goldring will be charged with auditing FARA’s adjusting operations and establishing training and education programs for FARA employees.
Goldring joined FARA in 1987 as a general adjuster. She has held numerous management positions with FARA including litigation manager, account manager and program manager. For the last seven years Ellen has been the branch manager of the American Longshore Mutual Association claims unit located in Metairie, La.
“Ellen has played many important roles for FARA over the years. This promotion gives us the opportunity to utilize her vast knowledge of our company and the insurance industry,” Clark said.
Founded in 1978, FARA is a nationwide insurance services provider of risk management solutions and group benefits administration to insurance companies, self-insured corporations and governmental entities.
