CompPartners Formed in Texas
Bruce Carlin, CEO of CompPartners, Inc., a California HCO (Health Care Organization), announced the creation of a subsidiary, CompPartners Texas.
Based in Austin, Texas, the new company will reportedly provide state-specific workers’ compensation managed care and property and casualty solutions to insurance companies, managed care entities, TPAs (Third-Party Administrators), employers, and government entities.
Carlin named Lisa Hannusch president of the new entity. “Ms. Hannusch’s in-depth understanding of Texas, its insurance issues and its medical system, combined with our proven cost-containment strategies will help rein in the skyrocketing claims costs in Texas.”
Hannusch’s 20-year health care career encompasses management positions within medical, regulatory, insurance and technology companies. Most recently she was director of workers’ compensation for ADP Claim Services Group and previously served as director of claims service for Texas Mutual.
“We will leverage CompPartners’ expertise to build a comprehensive, integrated care management company focused on the special needs of the Texas market,” said Hannusch.
Services will include integrated workers’ compensation solutions with regional providers engaged to address the issues facing Texas workers’ compensation participants.
