TWCC Redesigns Web Site
The Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission announced that its web site at www.twcc.state.tx.us has a new look. It has been redesigned in an effort to make it easier for participants in the Texas workers’ compensation system to find information that applies to them, find answers to questions that are simple and in plain language, and learn where to get further assistance. The redesigned web site also provides information for injured workers in Spanish.
The main page of the web site now features sections for injured workers, employers and health care providers that contain answers to frequently-asked questions. The workers’ section also contains forms and benefit information. The employer section contains coverage notices and safety and health information. The health care provider section contains forms, fee guidelines, and Approved Doctor List (ADL) information.
Another new feature of the web site is easy access to key information from the home page including benefits, safety resources, fraud information, and frequently requested public information.
This redesigned web site also has a link to TXCOMP and other online services provided by the Commission. TXCOMP currently can be used to locate doctors approved to treat injured workers. After Sept. 1, 2004, workers’ compensation claims can be reported using TXCOMP. Additional online services include employer insurance coverage information and attorney fee processing.
