Ark. WCC Releases 2005 Compensation Rates
The Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission (AWCC) recently released its annual revision of Advisory 2000-1, which announces the amounts to be paid to injured workers under the state’s workers’ compensation laws.
The revision advises parties in the workers’ compensation system of the maximum and minimum rates to be paid to employees who suffer job-related injuries and illnesses from Jan.1, 2005, through Dec. 31, 2005. For accidents on and after Jan. 1, 2005, through Dec. 31, 2005, maximums for workers’ compensation weekly indemnity benefits are based on 85 percent of the state Average Weekly Wage (AWW) of $548.38. [Ark. Code Ann. ยง11-9-501(b)(4).]
Amounts paid in previous years are included in the advisory, which is released first to attendees of the annual AWCC Educational Conference.
