BrickStreet Hosting Workers’ Comp Training Sessions
Training sessions on defensive driving, powered industrial trucks, a 30 hour Occupational Health and Safety Administration course and behavioral-based safety courses will be presented, beginning June 7, and throughout the summer by BrickStreet in South Charleston and Morgantown, W. Va.
Greg Burton, BrickStreet president and CEO said the sessions are part of an effort to promote safety in the workplace in West Virginia.
“These workshops are part of an ongoing obligation to help policyholders provide safe working environments in West Virginia,” Greg Burton, BrickStreet president and CEO said. “Educating policyholders on workplace safety and accident prevention is always a top priority.”
Training sessions, conducted by BrickStreet’s certified safety staff, will take place at the Safety and Loss Control Office in South Charleston, adjacent to the South Charleston Public Library.
The schedule includes: June 7, 8 a.m. to noon, Defensive Driving, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Powered Industrial Trucks; June 20-23, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., OSHA 30-hour general industry safety course; July 12, 8 a.m. to noon, defensive driving, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Behavioral-Based Safety; July 19-20, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., OSHA 10-hour general industry safety course; July 26, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Hearing Conservation, Safe Lifting; Aug. 2, 8 a.m. to noon, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Defensive Driving; Aug. 9, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. OSHA 300, Accident Investigation, Lockout/Tagout, Bloodborne Pathogens; and Aug. 16, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics.
Sessions in Morgantown at the Ramada Inn include: Aug. 21, 8 a.m. to noon, Defensive Driving, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Powered Industrial Trucks; and Aug. 22-25, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., OSHA 30-hour general industry safety course.
