Mississippi Hospital Faces Sexual Harassment Suit by 2 Employees
A lawsuit has beenn filed against Garden Park Medical Center by two employees who said they were sexually harassed for years by a male nurse at the Gulfport, Mississippi hospital.
The suit was filed in federal court.
Nurses Regina Guinn of Wiggins and Sara Dobson of Saucier said the man, who worked in the intensive care unit, exposed himself several times.
The women claim supervisors were told about the sexual harassment but did nothing about their complaints.
The lawsuit alleges one of the supervisors is the man’s wife and claims she didn’t stop the abuse and then retaliated by suspending one of the women for alleged insubordination. The lawsuit says the hospital later cleared Guinn.
Garden Park’s human resources director told The Sun Herald the hospital doesn’t comment on personnel matters.
