North Carolina Man Charged with Auto Insurance Fraud
A North Carolina man was arrested and charged with one count each of insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, according to an announcement by Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin.
Department of Insurance criminal investigators allege that Antonio Lennard Lawrence provided fraudulent documentation to GEICO Insurance Company in support of a claim for the loss of his vehicle in a fire on March 10, 2014.
Lawrence was arrested on June 6 with the assistance of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and placed under a $3,000 bond.
