Oregon’s SAIF Corp. Forms Review Team to Assist in Full Look at Workers’ Comp
Oregon-based SAIF Corp. interim president and CEO Brenda Rocklin has appointed two experienced public agency executives to assist in a “top-to-bottom review” of the state’s not-for-profit workers’ compensation insurance company.
Rocklin said that Colleen Sealock, assistant director for support service at the Oregon State Lottery, and Charles Nicoloff, former deputy administrator of the Oregon State Insurance Division, will assist in the review of SAIF’s operations, ordered recently by Gov. Ted Kulongoski.
“It’s critical that we restore the public’s confidence in this important asset to the State of Oregon, and I have asked Colleen and Charles to join in this effort because of the extensive experience and expertise they bring to working with complex public agencies,” Rocklin said.
Kulongoski named Rocklin to head SAIF at a press conference held at the governor’s office earlier this month. Rocklin, who left her position as director of the Oregon Lottery to accept the governor’s appointment, has served in several top state agency positions.
Sealock has held positions at the Department of Administrative Services, Elections Division of the Secretary of State’s Office and at the Department of Justice. She began work at SAIF full-time on Aug. 23, reporting directly to Rocklin.
Nicoloff recently retired from state government, most recently serving as deputy administrator of the Oregon Insurance Division. He also will report to Rocklin.
