Arizona Insurance Information Association Renamed Arizona Insurance Council
The Arizona Insurance Information Association has changed its name to the Arizona Insurance Council (AIC) to reflect a new direction for the insurance industry organization. AIC’s expanded scope includes education outreach and partnership building initiatives with safety and loss mitigation organizations in Arizona.
The board of directors said it adopted a strategic plan for 2008 that is more pro-active in reaching insurance consumers in Arizona and other audiences to improve their understanding of property and casualty insurance products, important issues related to insurance matters, and the value and security insurance provides in everyday life.
“The new name goes beyond information dissemination to an aggressive education outreach where our audiences live and work. The new AIC is building partnerships to improve public safety and reduce insurance losses that ultimately benefit consumers,” said Ron Williams, AIC’s executive director.
Along with a new name, the AIC is introducing a new, improved Web site for consumers, www.azinsurance.org. The site is designed to provide easier access to all aspects of property/casualty insurance. Among the topics include auto and homeowner’s insurance, including checklists for homeowners, access to home inventory software, auto safety statistics and industry trends. Also included is a link to help parents and teen drivers understand the new Arizona Teen Driver Safety Law going into effect July 1, 2008.
