Sedgwick CMS Offering Self-Serve Updates to Workers’ Comp Medical Providers
Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. has launched a new Web-based self-service system that offers nationwide 24-hour access for physicians and other medical providers to information critical to the effective administration of workers’ compensation medical services.
The link to the password protected system, part of Sedgwick CMS’s viaOne® Express family of self-service information resources, is available via the Sedgwick CMS Web site, www.sedgwickcms.com, under Professional Resources.
ViaOne Express for Providers streamlines the claims administration process for both medical professionals and Sedgwick CMS. It reportedly minimizes response times for frequently asked questions, improves the accuracy of information relays, and eliminates time zone-related inconveniences in the handling of routine inquiries.
The system provides detailed information regarding the approval status of bills including invoices processed and payments issued. Site users can search for records based on patient name, claim number, date of service, date of loss, amount billed and a variety of additional criteria. Password protections and parameters for site content maintain appropriate confidentiality of medical records.
