Safety Problems Found at Nevada Casino

Clark County officials have found deficiencies in fire safety equipment at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon on the Las Vegas Strip during a test performed earlier this month.

An independent fire investigator told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the problems would be described as “serious.”

The inspection was part of the transfer of ownership of the casino, although it appears long delayed. Harrah’s Entertainment has owned the casino-hotel for nearly two years.

Among the problems found was a shortcoming with the emergency lighting used by employees and fire fighters.

A Harrah’s spokeswoman says the lighting problem has been fixed.
